Teacher Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, personalized music instruction.
- Create a safe, encouraging, and structured learning environment.
- Offer appropriate guidance on practice and musical development.
Student Responsibilities
- Arrive on time, be well-prepared, and bring assignment book and music to each lesson.
- Maintain consistent practice between lessons.
- Communicate promptly with the teacher about questions, concerns, or scheduling.
Registration & Fees
- A one-time registration fee of $25 is due per student upon initial enrollment.
- Students will be assigned suitable books by the teacher and are responsible for purchasing them.
Lesson Options
- Monthly Subscriptions reserve a recurring weekly lesson time.
- Trial Lessons may be scheduled based on teacher availability.
- Drop-In Lessons may be scheduled based on teacher availability.

Payments
- Payments are processed through our billing system (Fons). All students must create a Fons account (invite link provided) and provide payment information for automatic billing.
- Monthly Subscription: Charged on the 1st of each month. If enrollment occurs after the 1st, tuition is prorated for the remainder of the month.
- Trial Lessons: Charged at the time of booking.
- Drop-In Lessons: Charged at the time of booking.
Cancelations & Make-Ups
- Student cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to qualify for a makeup lesson.
- Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice are forfeited and not eligible for rescheduling or refund.
- All cancellations and makeup scheduling must be managed through the Fons Client App. It is the student’s responsibility to coordinate a makeup time with the instructor based on mutual availability.
- If the teacher must cancel, a makeup lesson will be offered.
- No refunds will be given for missed or unused lessons.
Withdrawals & Pauses
- Withdrawal requires two weeks’ advance notice.
- Students are never locked into long-term commitments.
- Lesson subscriptions may be paused if a student needs a temporary break. Please provide a two-week notice for pauses to ensure proper processing.
2026 Studio Calendar
There will be no lessons on the following dates:
- March 9 – 13: Spring Break
- October 12 – 16: Fall Break
- November 23 – 27: Thanksgiving Break
- December 20 – January 2: Winter Break
2026 Studio Recitals:
- Saturday, April 4 – Spring Recital
- Christmas Recital (TBD)
